Why we’re here

A neighborhood farm should nourish the place around it.

We’re still learning as we build. What guides us is simple: a neighborhood farm that brings people together, strengthens local networks, and grows fresh, flavorful food.

We’re transforming underused spaces into vibrant indoor farms, growing gourmet mushrooms and microgreens the way they should be grown: in soil and media, harvested to order, and delivered straight to your table or kitchen.

What we stand for

The things we want to grow alongside the food.

Community

We’re not just growing food. We’re growing connections. Our farm brings neighbors, chefs, and local makers together, building stronger networks across Denver.

Vitality

Fresh means more than just picked today. It means nutrient-dense food grown with care. Our produce is harvested at peak vitality and on your plate within hours.

Flavor

Great ingredients make great meals. We grow varieties chosen for their flavor, the kind that transforms a simple dish into something memorable.

Local roots

Every seed, every harvest, every delivery happens right here in Denver. We’re building a food system rooted in our community, not a distant supply chain.

Our vision6 commitments

What we’re working to build

The farm is about good produce. It is also about proving that a local business can give more than it takes.Read our full vision
01

Deliver exceptional produce at scale

Operate a precision-grown, soil-based platform that consistently produces exceptional mushrooms, microgreens, herbs, and greens.

02

Strengthen the neighborhood micro-economy

Contribute to the local value network by:

  • Partnering with standout local businesses and makers
  • Establishing neighborhood pickup hubs for veggie boxes, paired with partner perks
  • Coordinating with nearby farms to broaden the product mix, especially crops that excel outdoors
03

Demonstrate that fundamentals still win

Run a business model anchored in value creation:

  • Revenue comes only from products customers genuinely want
  • No predatory pricing structures, lock-ins, or membership traps
  • Pass scale efficiencies back to customers whenever possible
  • Engage customers, employees, and the community as informed stakeholders
04

Build a high-trust, high-agency workplace

Design an employment experience that respects both people and productivity levers:

  • Provide strong living wages
  • Share profits with the team
  • Enable flexible time autonomy
  • Give employees meaningful decision-making ownership
05

Operate with full authenticity

Transparent intentions, transparent practices, and no manufactured narratives.

06

Generate sustainable profitability by earning it

If we execute the above with discipline and integrity, prove out that a business doing things the ‘Right Way’ can succeed.

Food worth eating. A company worth working for.

Conditional Gardens exists because a company should be fair.Read Jordan’s full letter

Hi, I’m Jordan, one of the people behind Conditional Gardens. We’re building a neighborhood farm that grows food worth eating and is a company worth working for.

Conditional Gardens exists because a company should be fair. Fair to the people who grow and deliver the food, fair to the community that sustains it, and fair to the customers who choose it. We’ve drifted from the idea of businesses functioning in service to their neighborhoods. The aim is to prove a company can thrive by giving more than it takes.

To customers

We grow mushrooms, greens, and other crops in controlled environments. Our recipes dial in the right mix of light, humidity, and soil/substrate conditions, so what reaches your kitchen is as fresh and nutrient rich as it can be. With our farm in Denver, you can be sure your food is honest and connected to the place where we live.

Conditional Gardens is about community as much as it is about produce. We partner with local makers, restaurants, and shops to create pickup hubs and offer incentives to visit them. The idea is simple: support our neighbors, keep money circulating close to home, and make good food accessible to more people. You can buy from us once, once a week, or whenever it feels right. No pressure, no constant marketing, no subscription traps. Just food when you want it.

To potential employees

The same fairness we try to bring to customers extends to our team. Everyone here is paid above market rate, has real time off, and shares in profits when the business can afford it. Work should be purposeful and balanced, not a forty-hour performance for its own sake. People do their best work when they have a life outside of it.

To everyone

Transparency matters deeply to me. You deserve to know how we price things, where the money goes, and why we make the choices we do. I’ll always be open about that. I also want to be honest about my own reasons for starting this. I want to build something that provides stability for my family and gives me the freedom to spend more of my time doing what I love. I believe that kind of personal success can exist alongside fairness and community, that a company can grow without losing its soul.

If this resonates, whether you are a chef, a local business owner, or someone who just loves good food, I’d love to hear from you at hello@conditionalgardens.com. If it doesn’t, that’s fine too. Either way, I hope you eat something good today.
